An IFAST Intro

written by Mike Robertson

Chances are if you’re reading this you’re serious about getting in shape once and for all.  That’s great!

But it always helps to work with a qualified and competent trainer to get you from Point A to Point B in the fastest and most efficient manner possible.

At IFAST, everything we do is customized FOR YOU.  No guesswork, and no gimmicks.  If you’ve got a minute, let me explain to you exactly how IFAST works.

The Initial Consultation

If you’re interested in training at IFAST, we start with an initial consultation.  This allows you to see our gym, meet our staff, and start to get a feeling for the true IFAST experience.  We’ll discuss what kind of training you’re currently doing, your injury history, what your goals are, and discuss how we can help.

At the end of the day, we’re not here to sell you a membership – we want to make sure we’re a good fit for each other.

The Assessment

Have you ever been injured?

Are you trying to build muscle?

Lose body fat?

Improve your athletic performance?

All of this information is important.  During your assessment, we examine virtually every joint and muscle in your body to determine what’s working right, what’s not, and how that’s going to affect your training.

Quite simply, we leave no stone unturned.  Someone with a history of back pain is going to have a different program than someone who hasn’t, even if they both have 30 pounds to lose.

The assessment takes anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour, and we examine all of the following:

  • Basic health measures (scale weight, blood pressure, body composition/body fat, etc.)
  • Posture and alignment
  • Isolated joint and muscle testing
  • Integrated joint and muscle testing (squatting, lunging, push-ups, core testing, etc.)
  • Sport-specific testing (if applicable)

As you can see, our assessment process is extremely in-depth.  Our philosophy is the more information we have up front, the better we will be able to program for and address the needs of our clients.

The Program

After we have completed your assessment, it’s time for us to do a bit of work.

All IFAST programs are custom-tailored to the person in front of us.  Remember, someone that has back or knee pain is going to be programmed for a bit differently than someone who has no injury history.

While we’re comfortable writing programs for just about anyone, some of our areas of specialty include:

  • Fat loss
  • Muscle building
  • Pure strength training/getting stronger
  • Sports-performance training
  • Back Pain
  • Knee Pain
  • Shoulder Pain

The Training

The final step in the process is the actual coaching.  While some coaches are simply there to motivate, our goal at IFAST is to give you the highest quality coaching possible.

For example, all lunges are not created equal.  Going back to our client with knee pain, lunging in a certain way may actually make your knee pain worse, while lunging in a different way may make your knees feel better.

It’s our job to not only know the difference, but to help you see and feel the difference as well.

Our 30-Day Trial

All new clients that come to us from within a 20-minute radius (Fishers, Carmel, Noblesville, Lawrence, etc.) are free to try our 30-day trial.  During our trial period, this is what you’ll receive:

  • Your Assessment (valued at $150)
  • Your 1.0 Program (valued at $150)
  • Up to 12 Small-Group Training Sessions (Value at $399)

And all of this for only $89!

We understand that our gym is quite a bit different than what you’re probably used to, and we’re ok with that.

However, in order for YOU to understand that we’re not only different, but better than the competition, we have to give you a little incentive to try us out.  As you can see, if you purchased all these individual services from us the cost would be close to $700!

Bottom line? $89 is a steal.

At the end of your trial, we can figure out what you’d like to do going forward. At the end of the trial if we haven’t shown you that we’re not only the best facility in town, but how we can help you achieve your goals in the fastest and most efficient manner possible, we don’t deserve your ongoing business.

Period.
