July Speed and Agility Camp at IFAST!

written by Mike Robertson

soccerThis July, we’re going to be doing something fun and different here at IFAST. If you have a child in middle or high school that plays team sports, you’ll definitely want to check this out!

We all know that speed and agility training is critical for developing athleticism and improving performance. People love to rave about 40 or 60 times, but most team sports games are won or lost in a very small, confined area.

In basketball, it’s the ability to juke a defender.

In football, it’s the ability to plant, cut, and create space.

Or in soccer, it’s the ability to make a quick run and get separation.

The bottom line is if your child can improve their speed and agility, they have a much better chance of performing well on the field.

But here’s the thing – while movement technique and skill is important, there’s more to it than that. Becoming faster or more explosive is a combination of good technique and mechanics, strength, stability, control and flexibility.

While we can’t promise a Barry Sanders or Adrian Peterson level of improvement in eight weeks, we can guarantee your child is going to improve and have a great time doing it!

If you’d like to check out our speed and agility camp here at IFAST, here are the details:

What: The first annual summer speed and agility camp!

Who: This camp is open to kids aged 12-18 years old, and is best suited to team sports athletes (baseball, basketball, football and soccer). The camp will be run by IFAST performance coach Ty Terrell.

When: 2-3 pm, every Tuesday and Thursday starting on July 8th, and finishing on July 31st. If we fill up our first camp, the second camp will run from 3-4 pm on the same days.

Where: At IFAST, 9402 Uptown Drive, #1600, Indianapolis, IN 46256.

Why: So you can become the best athlete possible!

The fee for this camp is only $297, and includes the following:

  • Our orthopedic and sports performance assessment, to determine what your exact needs and issues are.
  • A customized program designed to help you get faster and more explosive.
  • 8 coaching/camp sessions with Ty.

If you’re interested in having your child attend this summer’s speed and agility camp, please reserve your spot and schedule your assessment ASAP! Call Kirsten at 317.578.0998, or e-mail us at [email protected] to get booked.
