IFAST Re-Opening June 1st!

written by Mike Robertson

Hey friend!

First and foremost, I hope you and your family are all safe, happy and healthy right now.

It feels like we’ve FINALLY got a firm re-opening date, so as of right now our goal is to reopen IFAST to training members effective Monday, June 1st.

As I mentioned in last month’s email, we’re going to have to make some adjustments in the short-term as to how we operate, so I wanted to put all of that in one email.

In an effort to maintain social distancing and keep everyone safe, here’s our game plan for re-opening.

#1 – ALL SESSIONS must be scheduled.

Or more specifically, at least in the short-term, if you’re coming into IFAST, your sessions MUST be scheduled.

Semi-private training? Scheduled.

Athletika group sessions? Scheduled.

Athletic Development? Book It.

OPEN GYM? Yep…gotta book this, too.

Now I realize this is going to be a little bit different, so to accommodate everyone we’re going to update our hours for the time being.

Semi-Private (maximum 4 clients per hour)

Monday-Friday, 6-11 am, 3-8 pm (except Friday where we close at 7 pm)

Saturday – 9 am – 12 pm

Monday-Friday at 11 am we’ll also be offering an online virtual/Zoom coaching session if you want to train from home

Athletika (maximum 8 clients per hour)

Tuesday-Friday – 12 pm

Monday-Friday – 6 pm

Tuesday/Thursday – 7 am

Saturday – 8 am

Athletic Development (maximum 6 clients per hour)

Monday-Friday, 4 and 5 pm

Open Gym (maximum 5 clients per hour)

Monday-Friday – 11 am – 3 pm

During this time it’s very important that we manage gym flow, so it’s imperative that you show up on time to your sessions and finish promptly when your hour is over.

#2 – Gym Memberships and Billing

Effective June 1st, all memberships will start up.

However, if for any reason you are uncomfortable training at the gym – whether that’s a pre-existing condition, being in an at-risk population, or just not wanting to be out and about yet – please let us know and we will pause your billing until you are ready.

While we’d love to have everyone back once we open our doors, we also realize that everyone needs to do this at their own pace.

If you have any questions or concerns about this, please let us know.

#3- Gym “Spacing”

With the above changes to the schedule, this should really help us manage member “flow” thorough the gym.

However, there are times when we’ll have crossover – i.e. an athletic development session on one side, paired with a semi-private session on the other.

At least in the short-term, we need to minimize traffic between sides. In other words, if you’re in a semi-private, your coach will do everything in their power to make sure you can do your entire workout on that side.

The same goes for Athletika and AD.

#4 – Gym Cleaning

Last but not least, we will keep up our rigorous cleaning of the gym.

We were already wiping down and disinfecting things during sessions and in between every training hour, but we could definitely use your help as well!

Here are a few things we’ll need from you to help us keep IFAST safe:

Wash/disinfect your hands both prior to coming in, and immediately before leaving.

Wipe down any/all equipment after use.

It may not seem like much, but every little bit helps – so please do your part in helping us keep IFAST safe!

Summary

Okay I know that was a lot, but I wanted to try and get everything in one place so you can digest it. 🙂

We’re definitely excited to get back in the gym and help us all find some semblance of normalcy, even if it will be a little bit different in the short-term.

Thanks so much for reading, and we’ll see you at IFAST (hopefully!) later this week!

All the best,

MR

Mike Robertson
