Indianapolis Fitness and Sports Training Success Updates

It’s a busy week this week at Indianapolis Fitness and Sports Training as usual.

It seems that word is getting around Indy that IFAST is the place to get results.  We’re starting more new clients each week.

Here’s a few highlights:

Garrett D. has been with us for just 2 weeks and he’s lost 14 pounds and shows no signs of slowing down.

Bob J., who was told to stop exercising by doctors because of a several decades of lower back pain, is practically pain-free and is now more active than anyone expected and leading by example in training his group of young wrestlers.

Alonia C. won her first figure competition (on her first try no less) and has just started to prepare to take her second title in about 12 weeks.

Aaron C. has begun is weightlifting (the Olympic kind) training here at IFAST.  In talking to him after his training session tonight, he commented “how could anyone not fit in here.  This is obviously the place for serious people to get results.”

I think he’s right.  Of course we agree, but we’re biased here at IFAST.  If you haven’t been here and experienced the atmosphere that leads to success in whatever your fitness training, weight loss, or sports performance goals may be, you won’t understand.

That’s why we always make it easy for you.

You get to experience IFAST for free.  You’ll be treated like a member from day one.  That includes your complete functional assessment, your personalized training program geared toward achieving your goals, and six free coaching sessions.  No one in the Indianapolis fitness industry can match our offer or our results.

We’ll prove it to you for free.  Call 578-0998 to set up your free assessment.

Corrective Exercise the IFAST Way

At Indianapolis Fitness and Sports Training (IFAST), I’d put our experience up against anyone in the city  (and then some).  Mike Robertson has over 10 years of working in the fitness and sports training industry.  He’s worked with athletes at the Olympic and professional levels and has a Masters degree in biomechanics.  I have degrees in sports science and physical therapy and 18 years of experience in working with athletes of all levels in rehab and training as well as the general fitness population.  Our current intern comes to us from one of the best exercise science programs in the country.

Because of our backgrounds, we see a lot of people that are trying to regain their past levels of physical performance, reach a new level of performance, or are just trying to get back in shape but are experiencing physical limitations.  Like the wear ‘n’ tear of a car driving out of alignment, these physical limitations not only limit performance but can lead to aches, pains, and represent potential for future injuries.

In many cases, the initial programming that we provide to our clients and athletes includes a strong component of corrective exercise.  Our corrective programming is based on our comprehensive physical assessment and allows us to create your individualized exercise program to restore normal joint movement and strength.  These programs may include dynamic and static stretching, core training, general strengthening, and energy system-specific conditioning.  At times, new exercises will be created to address special needs.

The important thing to understand is that the program remains focused on enhancing sports performance, weight loss, or whatever sport-specific or fitness-specific goals our clients would like to address.  In other words, we focus on the training effect that will provide the desired result and simultaneously make you move and feel better.

Many Indianapolis personal trainers will make similar claims.  We’ll actually prove it at absolutely no risk to you.

Call 578-0998 to set up your comprehensive physical assessment and get 14 days of full membership including your individualized program and 6 coaching sessions.  No tricks, no gimmicks, and no pressure.

Indianapolis Fitness and Sports Training: Changing Your Weight Loss Approach

I think we’ve set an IFAST (Indianapolis Fitness and Sports Training) record over the last 10-14 days for new assessments.  The interesting thing was the common theme among several of our new fitness clients who are interested in improving their body composition (lose fat and firm up their bodies).

At IFAST, we intentionally attract serious fitness enthusiasts, so our new fitness clients were already working hard.  Thing is they’ve stopped seeing results.  This is not uncommon as many weight loss clients will have hit a plateau at one time or another.

The point you need to understand is that a plateau is just a sign that your body has adapted to your fat loss program, and it’s time to make a change in your eating plan and/or your fat loss exercise program.

The most common theme is that people trying to lose weight will typically rely on longer durations of “cardio” and a lot less food.  Problem is that your body may get defensive and actually retain unwanted body fat by slowing down your metabolism.  This oftentimes leads to frustration for the weight loss client and results in “falling off the wagon” and a failure to reach their fat loss goals.

The Indianapolis Fitness and Sports Training weight loss programs are specifically designed to maintain exercise intensity which is a key component to fat loss training that many people are unaware of.  The result is faster fat loss and fewer plateaus along the way.  That means you’ll reach your fat loss goals quicker and with less frustration.

Don’t forget you won’t find an Indianapolis personal trainer that will give you 14 days of full membership just to prove their worth like we do at Indianapolis Fitness and Sports Training.  We show you why we’re different, and why our clients are more successful?

Indianapolis Fitness and Sports Training Update

It’s been a busy week this week.

We’ve started a new intern with us, Nick Rosencutter.  Nick comes to us from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, one of the top sports science programs in the country.  Nick’s also a competitive powerlifter in the 181 pound class with deadlift over 500 pounds.  He’s already getting immersed in the IFAST system and getting to know all the members.

We’ve had a bunch of new people in for their assessments this week and have already booked several for next week.  Primetime a.m and p.m. groups are almost full, so if you’re on the fence, you better call today to get scheduled.  Remember that if you want to try us out, you’ll get 14 days free full membership including your assessment, individualized fitness program, weight loss program, or sports training program, and six training sessions.  There’s not a single Indianapolis personal trainer that’s willing to offer such an opportunity.  We laugh at the offers of “join and get a free training session”.  With Indianapolis Fitness and Sports Training, you’re a member from day one.

Just a reminder that Master Russian Kettlebell Instructor Brett Jones will be here on the 24th for a big one-day seminar.  Not only is Brett a smart guy and skilled with a kettlebell, but he’s strong as anyone you’ll find.  We’ve only got a couple spots left so get signed up ASAP.  There’s a discount for IFAST members.

Maia Monchek will be in this weekend.  We’re prepping Maia for her debut as a Purdue Boilermaker on the women’s softball team.  She’s brining in the whole family for assessments and programming.

Professional MMA fighter, Dan New continues to prep for his upcoming fight in just a few weeks.  With a combination of improved strength and a few Active Release Technique session, Dan’s looking to be in great shape.

A word of warning!

Spring Break is only 3 months away.  If you want to get ready for the beach, you need to get started now.  Call 578-0998 to get your assessment set up and start the best fitness program Indianapolis has to offer.

Morning Fat Loss Program at Indianapolis Fitness and Sports Training Update

We’ve added two new members to the morning fat loss program at Indianapolis Fitness and Sports Training.  So a hearty welcome to both Lindsay and Sue.

Both gals are already demonstrating the now famous IFAST attitude that assures them success.

Sue came in today with her compliance manual all filled out complete with all her long and short-term goals.  She’s already making changes to her food selections and refining her eating program.

Lindsay was quite impressive in her second workout this week.  She comes from an athletic background and it shows as she was picking up exercise cues like she’d been training for years.  She finished her workout today with kettlebell swings and knocked them out like a pro.

Chris is still kicking butt as usual and will be kicking his program into high gear.  Keep riding the momentum Chris!

JK continues to lead by example.  I can’t tell you how proud I am to work with her.  We were able to progress her program today and train exercises that were once too painful to perform.

Here’s a little IFAST weight loss program tip for you.

It’s common for folks get frustrated with their lack fat loss of progress especially early on in their weight loss program.    The changes may be gradual and therefore not visible since you tend to see yourself every day.

One of the measures we use to keep people on track and motivated is by taking their skinfold measurements on our clients’ cheeks and under their chins.  While these measures don’t factor into their body fat percentage calculation, these areas tend to be the first place where they lose a measureable amount of body fat.  So we can take a quick and accurate measure of their progress any time to show that while they may not see it, they are changing for the better.

Until next week!
