Charity Bootcamps, Transformation Contests, And More!

As you guys know we’re getting prepped for our first ever bootcamp class this week.  Needless to say, this is incredibly exciting – and a bit overwhelming, too!

And I’m not even the one teaching the class :)

Regardless, I wanted to take a moment and give you guys a few updates on the classes, as well as what you can expect in the coming months from IFAST.

Charity Bootcamps Are Up First

The charity camps start this week, and we’re going to have a different instructor each of the first 3-weeks. We’re going to use this time to figure out how best to run out camps, work out the kinks, and to dial things in going forward.

Keep in mind the fee is only $10 for these camps, and ALL the proceeds go to support the Down Syndrome of Indiana foundation. We still have a few spots open, so e-mail or call us immediately if you’re interested in attending!

One thing I keep hearing come up is that people are nervous about being in good enough shape. One of the things we’ll do is help customize the program to you – in other words, if you aren’t in great shape, or maybe your flexibility isn’t all that great, we can dial things back a bit until you get more comfortable.

And don’t worry – if things are too easy, we can always make things harder!

Transformation Contest Starts October 3rd!

Our actual bootcamps will officially start on Monday, October 3rd, and they’re going to start off with a bang!

Our first-ever transformation contest will be a great way to get into our bootcamps at a fraction of the cost. You can find our standard pricing information HERE, but if you register for our transformation contest prior to October 3rd, you can get 6-weeks of 3x/week bootcamp (a $300 value) for only $97!

What’s even cooler is that everyone entered in the transformation contest will be eligible to win close to $1,000 in prizes! Just some of the things we’ll be offering are:

  • A 90-minute deep tissue massage with sports massage therapist Terry Fletcher
  • A hair styling by my good friend Shelbi Johnson of Bellismo Salon and Spa
  • 3-months of FREE 3x/week bootcamp,
  • And much more!

If you want to register for the transformation contest, you’ll need to either attend one of our charity camps, or the Learn to Burn introductory class (which I’ll discuss below).

Bootcamp Class Schedule is Set!

I’ll keep this one simple – for now we’re offering two standard class times; one AM and one PM class.

AM Class – M-W-F at 6 am

PM Class – M-T-Th at 6 pm

We’re also hoping to offer an 8 am class on Satuday’s in the very near future.

Learn to Burn Class Saturdays at 9 am

For those of you who don’t currently train at IFAST but want to get started with our bootcamps, the first thing you’ll need to do is register for one of our Learn to Burn classes.

This is an introductory class where we’ll teach you the basics of our training – how to foam roll, how to stretch effectively, basic movements, etc.

Keep in mind, you MUST attend this class if you want to start in bootcamps. We’ll offer this class every Saturday at 9 am, and there is no charge. Only 10 spots are available each week, so please schedule ASAP.

2-Weeks Free!

Finally, if you’re interested in giving us a shot, we’re interested in getting you in here – even if it costs us a bit up front.

For all new bootcamp members, you can get your first 2-weeks of bootcamp FREE just for coming in. That includes your Learn to Burn introductory class, and up to 6 bootcamp sessions over the course of two weeks.

If you don’t realize within 2 weeks that we’re the place for you, then we don’t deserve your business. Period.

So that’s it – whether it’s a charity camp, the Transformation Contest, or anything else, we’re very excited to see what our bootcamps can do for you.

Give us a call today at 317.578.0998 0r e-mail us at indyfast@gmail.com to learn how IFAST can help you achieve your fat loss and physique oriented goals.

Good luck and good training!

What is a bootcamp?

As many of you know, we’re getting ready to start bootcamps here at IFAST. And that’s led to the following question being asked a lot

“What the heck is a bootcamp?”

I’m glad you asked :)

Here at IFAST, we offer what’s called semi-private or small group training. Essentially, you train in a group of 2-4 clients at a time. This leverages our time as trainers (not as much “down” time), while saving you, the consumer, money.

So if small group training is 2-4 clients per session, a bootcamp is much larger – typically somewhere between 15-20 people, although many of my friends in the fitness industry run camps with upwards of 50-100 people!

The next question I’ve gotten asked a lot is, “what do you do in a bootcamp workout?”

Now that’s an even better question. If you watch popular TV shows (and I’m not naming names here), or go to a typical bootcamp workout, you’ll see idiot trainers acting like drill sergaents, trying to punish their clients into submission. What’s worse is the exercise selection is typically horrible as well – lots of running, jumping, and ridiculous exercises that most people simply aren’t prepared to do safely and effectively.

Needless to say, our bootcamps will still follow the same core philosophy of IFAST, just in a little bit different format than a typical semi-private session.

Bootcamp workouts will still start with soft-tissue work such as foam rolling. Next, you’ll move into a dynamic or movement based warm-up to get you prepared for your training session. And finally, you’ll be put into small groups (3-5 people per group) and go through stations of different exercises.

For instance a series of stations could like this:

  • One group is working with kettlebells, doing swings or goblet squats.
  • Another group is working on the TRX, performing inverted rows.
  • Another group is using the battling ropes.
  • Etc.

You get the point – quite simply this is a class that’s geared towards metabolic training, as well as time efficiency. Each class will last no longer than 60 minutes, so you’re guaranteed to get in, have an awesome, upbeat training session, and then get on your way.

Our bootcamps kick off next Saturday, September 10th. We’ll be running a camp on the 17th and 24th as well, and then in October we’re going to really kick-start the bootcamps with an awesome transformation contest. Stay tuned for more details on all this in coming weeks!

If you’re interested in attending, please give us a call at 317.578.0998 or e-mail us at indyfast@gmail.com to get more details. We look forward to helping you achieve your fitness goals!

All the best

Mike

Charity Bootcamps are Fast Approaching!

Hey everyone, Mike here with a quick update!

As many of you already know, we’ve expanded and we’re getting ready to launch a brand new component to our business – bootcamps!

To really kick things off (and work out a few of the bugs!), we’re going to be offering a charity bootcamp on the following dates and times:

Saturday, September 10th, 8:00 am

Saturday, September 17th, 8:00 am

Saturday, September 24th, 8:00 am

The cost of admission is only $10, and ALL the proceeds will go to support Down Syndrome of Indiana.

Quite simply, if you want to give IFAST a shot, this is a cheap and easy way to do so! Most importantly, all the proceeds go to a great cause.

If you’d like to attend one (or all) of our charity bootcamps, shoot us an e-mail at indyfast@gmail.com, or call us at 317.578.0998 to reserve your spot.

But HURRY! There’s only 20 spots available and we only have 8 left!

Check out our new autoresponder series!

Hey everyone, Mike here!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, but trust me – that’s NOT due to lack of activity!

As many of you know, we’ve recently expanded IFAST, nearly doubling our space. This is obviously a very exciting time, and I’m going to post some pictures and video ASAP.

In the interim, I know we’ve been getting a lot of new traffic to the site, and hopefully, people who are interested in our services.

If you’d like to learn more about the IFAST approach to training, I would highly recommend signing up for our newsletter. I’ve just created an e-mail autoresponder series that describes the various technique and approaches we use at IFAST, and how these techniques can help you achieve results in a safe, effective, and time-efficient manner.

All you have to do is fill in your info in the pop-up, or in the box on the right-hand side of the screen. Your course will start immediately, and we’ll discuss how the assessment process kick-starts everything we do. As the saying goes, “If you’re not assessing, you’re guessing!”

Until next time, take care, train hard, and hopefully we’ll get to meet some of you at IFAST here real soon!

Best
